Training not only helped me minister and love people better, it also changed me personally. I learned to pause, to study people and read their eyes, body language, their posture. Active listening skills and asking powerful questions to cultivate conversation and open thinking in another level to develop a personal strategy and goal plan that’s oriented by the other party, not led or driven by me. Learning to use the intrinsic motivation of the person or people I minister to is key. I learned to understand and appreciate personalities better vs trying to change everyone to be just like me. In studying personality, it gave me a deeper love for how God specifically made all people and that the different personalities are valuable and can glorify God in a unique way. Acceptance grew from personality study. Diving into EQ was the largest impact for me personally. I had never heard of this term before. Honestly, this training not only changed me personally, but it improved my ability to minister and love people well. It gave me the tools and skills I needed to go deeper into my conversations and truly transformed me allowing my ministry to have a positive and long-lasting effect on the people I lead. I am now equipped to love others better.
